In addition, the Young Lawyers Division provides reduced fee services for low- income people dealing with a variety of legal issues. Provides legal representation and advice in civil legal matters such as divorces, housing, public benefits, welfare, social security, mental health, senior citizen problems, and restraining orders to low-income persons in Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Douglas, and Gilpin counties.
Metropolitan Lawyer Referral Service
Arranges appointments with private attorneys for individuals seeking legal assistance. A $25 referral fee will be charged for the first one-half hour conference with the attorney. If further legal service is required, fee arrangements will need to be made between the client and attorney.
Metro Volunteer Lawyers
Volunteer attorneys provide representation to low-income clients in all types of civil cases including divorce. People should contact Colorado Legal Services first.

The clinic provides free mediation and arbitration services to people who have a dispute they have been unable to resolve—landlord/tenant issues, neighbor relations, etc. The clinic does not mediate divorce or child custody disputes. Law students handle civil and criminal cases for low-income people. Civil cases include landlord/tenant, public benefits (TANF, social security, food stamps), temporary restraining orders, and family law. Criminal cases include DUI/DWI and misdemeanor offenses.
