A diverse community of scholars

“The faculty have been so supportive and encouraging. I feel like I can accomplish all the dreams I almost gave up on before coming to MSU Denver.”
Carron Maclean, Human Services major

Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty members nurture student aspiration with a balance of passion and preparation, delivering a transformative academic experience defined by value, diversity, high-quality professional experiences and community engagement.

Our faculty members are teachers first, and with a faculty-to-student ratio of 21-to-1, they are able to provide the individual attention that helps our students excel.

They work with a diverse group of learners. The average age of our students is 26, nearly one-third are students of color, and many are low income or first-generation-to-college. MSU Denver is a national leader in minority STEM education, and the University is well on its way to achieving Hispanic Serving Institution designation.

MSU Denver is a thriving community of scholars and teachers in the heart of downtown Denver. Three master’s programs have been added. Two new buildings have opened. Research projects have real-world applications. MSU Denver instructors work alongside more than 1,400 other full- and part-time faculty members dedicated to providing the highest level of instruction and preparing students to succeed after graduation.
